Well, here it is – our first blog post at First Love Global – so we thought we would introduce ourselves properly. Firstly, Jane…

I’m Jane and here is my life message in a nutshell:

The love of Jesus Christ is so wide, so long, so high, so deep, and it will take the whole of my life to seek to grasp this Love and to share it with everyone I can. As I explore the width, the length, the height, the depth of His love, I step into the immeasurably more of His Kingdom, where nothing is impossible, where the sick are healed, the dead are raised to life, and lives are saved and transformed by His grace. Love wins.

(My life verses: Ephesians 3:17)

Sadly, God is sometimes misrepresented through religious practices, where rules and doctrines, human judgement and condemnation take precedence over the loving relationship that God longs for us to have with Him and with one another.

Due to this misrepresentation, I used to be cynical about faith; I didn’t trust christians, and I wanted nothing to do with God. Yet God pursued me gently, passionately, persistently, until one day in August 1996, I stopped running for long enough to experience His love and grace. That’s when I gave my life to Jesus.

When the love of Father God embraced my heart, and Jesus became my best friend, and Holy Spirit filled me with His healing and transformational power – I was permanently changed on the inside, which affected every aspect of my life.

Because of my personal experience of God’s loving kindness, I carry this revelation that God is good, and His love is more than enough to soften hard hearts, to bring forgiveness for sin and evil, to heal sickness and disease, to care for the broken hearted and the poor, to set captives free, and to transform lives, communities, even nations.

God’s love and compassion is the driving force behind all that we do at First Love Global Ministries.

How can we not demonstrate love in this world when we know that God loved us first?
